Enphase Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ: ENPH), a leading global energy technology company and supplier of microinverter-based solar and battery systems, has announced the initial shipments of IQ® Battery 5Ps produced in the United States. These products can help projects qualify for the Domestic Content Bonus Credit, a tax incentive designed to promote manufacturing and clean energy initiatives under the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA).
The Domestic Content Bonus Credit is available exclusively to commercial asset owners, including businesses adding solar systems and providers of solar power purchase agreements (PPAs) or leases for residential projects. Projects utilizing Enphase microinverters and batteries sourced from U.S.-based contract manufacturing partners, along with a limited quantity of domestically produced solar racking equipment, may be eligible for these tax credits.
Enphase is recognized for its commitment to delivering reliable solar products, and the introduction of the IQ Battery 5P signifies an expansion of that product line, now manufactured within the U.S. This development reflects a growing emphasis on supporting local innovation and quality assurance in renewable energy solutions.
Moreover, Enphase has commenced shipping IQ8HC™ Microinverters manufactured in the United States, which feature higher domestic content compared to earlier models. Both the IQ Battery 5Ps and IQ8HC Microinverters are labeled with SKUs bearing a “DOM” suffix, signifying their production with domestic components.
Sun Supply PV encourages anyone interested in the Domestic Content Bonus Tax Credit to consult with their legal and tax advisors to determine their eligibility. For more information regarding the Enphase IQ Battery 5P or any solar products, please contact Sun Supply PV.
