Franklin ACCY-RCV1-US APBOX 120/240VAC 65A
The FranklinWH aPbox is designed to link PV systems into the Franklin Home Power architecture for easy management and control, even in situations where the system cannot be connected through the aGate X solar breaker.
When installing a Franklin Home Power system alongside a PV system, there are multiple installation configurations that require different connection methods. The aPbox provides an optimized solution for those scenarios. With built-in meters and current transformers (CTs), it can measure electricity, connect and disconnect the solar system as needed, and protect the aPower X battery from overcharging while maximizing the utilization of photovoltaic power.
The aPbox is especially useful for remote or oversized solar systems, and those that over-generate and exceed the capacity of the installed aPower X batteries. With the aPbox, you can flexibly arrange the power generated by the solar system to realize the maximum utilization of solar energy, connect remote solar systems with ease, and automatically manage your system in off-grid or blackout scenarios.
One aGate X can control up to two aPbox units, allowing for a maximum of 130A controllable solar current. When an aPbox is used, excess solar power can be redirected to the load-side of the aGate X, and the aPbox can manage the metering and control.
If you have an existing solar system far from the aGate X installation location and changing the power line wiring will increase overall costs, the aPbox provides an easier connection without changing the power line route. Additionally, the aPbox can disconnect the solar system during over-generating periods or non-exportable excess generation to the grid due to regulatory limitations.
Overall, the FranklinWH aPbox is a versatile solution that provides intelligent and efficient management of your solar system, even in challenging installation configurations.
